These Disney inspired needlepoints were a joy to work on. The larger was a scene taken from ‘Beauty and The Beast’ and featured a lot of warm tones throughout. We framed it in an aged gold, scoop frame, with a brown signature keyline mount which helped bring everything together.
The second, smaller scene was from ‘Peter Pan’, featuring him flying over London. There were several blue tones present in it and we were having difficulty finding a frame that worked from our standard range, so we went full bespoke, hand-finished, and created a custom blue frame in our workshop. This combined with a nice dark blue keyline mount really did the trick.
Like all of our textile work there was no tape or adhesive used to fix the canvas. We support the canvas over archival quality board with either rustless pins, or hand lacing.
