This old Wine Farmer was produced by a German master printmaker in the first half of the last century. He has been a cherished member of the same family since then, and is now living with the third generation, who decided it was time for him to have a new home.
The original frame was starting to look a bit tired, and was starting to split at the corners. It was definitely time for a change. Instead of trying to match the warm golds that were present in the artwork, we decided to focus on the mid-tones, and designed a framing combination to match. In the end the perfect frame did not exist on our wall, so we decided to make it by combining two hand finished frames.
The new premium hand finished frame combination was designed and created from scratch in our Larkhall workshop. There was a lot of work involved, including sanding, multiple coats of paints, texturing, and waxing. The end result is truly a one of a kind work of art.
