Luckily, the shirt wasn’t framed that long ago and was not damaged as a result of this incorrect method used. If left long enough the adhesive from the tape would have certainly caused permanent damage to the shirt, ruining its value.
We reframed the shirt using correct methods and materials, pinning it over a support board, and stitching it to the back mount. You can get an idea about some of the methods we use by watching the video below.
We think it looks far better now, and the client has peace of mind, knowing that his shirt will remain in pristine condition for years to come.
