This was one of our more unique framing projects. It involved a set of Galeries Lafayette pen and ink sign designs. These unique artworks were created by a local artist who was the brother of our client. We presume that they were created as designs for store signage, which the artist may have been commissioned to do years ago.
We were thrilled with the opportunity to frame these stunning pieces of art, which served as a great inspiration for our own design. We decided to use a multi-aperture variation of our signature keyline mount, using different colours to match the corresponding sign. This technique helped to pick up the strong primary colours used in the signs and made the design stand out in a unique way, with an almost art deco feel.
We opted for a classic matt black frame to complement the colours used in the keyline mount. Furthermore, we incorporated specialist UV protective glass for ultimate protection against any potential damage from sunlight or UV rays.
Overall, we were very happy with how this project turned out, and the client was equally excited with the final product.
