Van Gogh Chair Cross Stitch

Van Gogh Chair Cross Stitch

As you can see, this Vincent Van Gogh cross stitch has quite a lot of green shades and textures running through it. With such strong colours it was impossible to find the perfect moulding for it, that’s why we decided to make it ourselves. This particular frame was fully hand finished in our workshop with a matching, hand painted, keyline mount to complete the design.

Like all of our textile work there was no tape, adhesive or staples used to fix the fabric. We support fabric over archival quality board with either rustless pins, or by hand lacing.

This project was completed to Fine Art Trade Guild Level 2 standard, and featured techniques from the following GCF Advanced modules:

  • Textile Framing
  • Conservation Framing
  • Mount Design and Function
